Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join their client's dynamic team in Carlsbad. This role offers a great opportunity for someone who is skilled in commercial building maintenance and is looking to contribute to a successful and growing organization.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial building, usually retail stores.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and timely completion of maintenance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize downtime.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a building maintenance role, preferably in a commercial setting (THIS IS NOT A MANUFACTURING MAINTENANCE POSITION)
- Strong knowledge of carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects when necessary.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, mornings and weekends as needed.
Work Hours:
Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm with some travel throughout SD county - MUST BE FLEXIBLE
Additional Details:
$25 - 35 per hour ($50,000 - 70,000 per year)
